Why can't we read or write why we are dreaming?

  Dreaming and reading or writing are controlled by two different parts of the brain. When we read or write, the part that the controls dreaming gets shut down. Hence we cannot dream when we read or write. And the vice versa is true. When we dream, the part that controls reading and writing shuts down. Hence we cannot read or write when we dream.
